David and Kari

This post is long over due! But definitely worth the wait. Pictures from the pumpkin patch and Halloween 2009 are in the gallery. If you don’t have time to look at all of them, here are a few good ones:

Brady loves petting zoos. He is not afraid of the animals at all and has no problem sticking his hand right on the animal’s mouth and nose. Very cute!

We found a costume that Brady didn’t mind wearing (nothing on his head). Anakin Skywalker. GrandaMa and GrandaPa took him trick-or-treating in our neighborhood and he loved it!

Gabe said he would never forget Brady’s full name, Brady Alexander, because of the drink “Brandy Alexander”.  At the time I had no idea what he was talking about because I thought…. if I haven’t tried this drink, it must not exist.  Wrong! Sorry Brady. I hope you don’t catch too much grief about this growing up.

If anyone would like to try this drink at home, here is the recipe:

1 1/2 oz Brandy

1 oz Dark Crème de Cacao

1 oz Half-and-half or Heavy cream

1/4 tsp grated Nutmeg

My sister gave me some costumes that she saved over the years from when her boys were little. They are adorable! As you can see, Brady didn’t like them as much as we did.

The photo gallery has been updated with our recent trip to San Diego, Brady’s first playdate at the zoo, and some good stuff in between. Enjoy!

Brady survived his first plane trip ever (and so did we).  He fell asleep before take-off and didn’t wake up until it was time to unload.  If he could talk he wouldn’t be able to tell us anything about the plane ride.  He missed it both times! Not only did he cooperate on the plane, but he was perfect the entire trip. He seemed right at home in San Jose.

We crammed a lot into this little 3-day trip. Brady got to meet more of Kari’s family, including his great grandparents.  We went to Kari’s favorite restaurant in the world, El Burro, we toured the world famous Monterey Bay Aquarium and the Kari’s family threw Brady a huge pre-birthday birthday party.

The trip was great. We are so appreciative of everything and everyone that crossed our path this past weekend. Special thanks to Vic and Florence for throwing that big shin dig for our little man and a big thanks to all those that came.

Brady is sick. We hope the granda-parents enjoyed Wild Horse Pass.
